I am a senior IT professional at a point in my career where I’m examining what I want to do next (resume). This thread is a public sorting out of my thoughts and experiences with the possible side effect that someone interested in my skills might contact me for discussion or to explore opportunities. That isn’t a plea for a job offer though I’m open to a change there. The connection might be with someone with a consulting need, someone who has ideas they’d like to exchange, or someone who likes some idea I talk about and is interested in joining me in pursuing it. I love providing feedback on technical and cultural change unbiased by the desire to win more work. One thing I’ve discovered over the years is that thoughts offered honestly and openly often lead to very positive things in ways that you didn’t originally predict. Unintended consequences.

I have degrees and work experience in both the Computer Science and Psychology fields. As "social computing" matures, Agile drives our design, business governs IT, and mass collaboration and democratization shape our culture, the intersection between the "black and white" of Computer Science and the "gray" of Psychology are a continual source of interest and observation for me.
